Hoping beyond hope that I had just taken part in some illegal transaction more familiar to the mean streets of downtown Wellignton rather than the leafy subburbs of Lower Hutt, I was strangely disappointd to find it was another of Cabbages etched masterpieces....but then wildly thrilled that it might actually be something I could use after all.
The item in question was a set of finely etched brass ladders that were designed to complement some scratchbuilt CB's being built in the garden city, but they would look superb on the TrackGang hopper wagons (I'm told they can do double duty as locomotive steps). Etched in 0.25mm brass, a fiver will get you 4 ladders (enough for 1 wagon with some spare).
Orders can be placed initially through the Head Druffs gmail account (must warn him about that).
And if you think thats great, you should see what other seeds I've planted in his overactive mind....

Great. Have to order some. Can he do etched walkways, or do you not have much call for them on NZ wagons?
