Something different

Just for a change from all the 50's and 60's stuff I've been prattling on about, tonight we actually have something a bit more modern. Actually, it couldn't possibly get more modern.

7008 in new paint on the Hillside traverser. No idea who took this.

Comments include 'They must have gotten a bulk discount on the cab side windows at Mitre 10.'

' And would like to raise a motion for pure red sides without the grey. All that grey is looking a bit depressing. Trains are supposed to be RED.'

What a steal at $175K. Outwardly seems in OK nick, and has all the important bits. I wonder how the real estate guys would describe it.

So, the initial impressions are OK. the cylinders are not perfect, but not worth the hassle to move. the valve gear looks OK, and the trailing truck also seems proportionally right. so the next step is t source a heavy boiler for it ( brass or copper 1/2" pipe should do)
