Promodel made a card kit of an NZR Class A No.2 Station a few years ago.
While card kits aren't to everyone's taste, these particular kits were quite well done, especially from a 2 foot viewing distance !
A nice kit, but a little bit fiddly if you haven't a steady hand while wielding a sharp scalpel !
I pimped my kit with added extras like gutters, down pipes, louvres in the toilet windows, screen mesh, chimney flashing, and a poster and blackboard copied from the back of a Journal.
Unfortunately the range was never expanded, and the current range is no longer available as far as I'm aware.
Contact with the manufacturer may yield results.

( this is the first of what will hopefully be a sizable collection of reviews on Nz120 kits that are/were avaliable.)

I'm honestly suprised that more isnt done in card, especially in Nz120. As that station shows, you can do a decent job with it, production costs are low, parts can be precoloured and weathered, assembly is easy with a minimum of tools and can quite happily be done on a cutting board while sitting in front of the TV. A whole scene of buildings can be built quickly and cheaply.....and the builder can feel no guilt about trashing them later on if they decided to replace them.
And if you think that card modelling isnt for "serious modellers", just do a web search...or try http://www.paperwarbirds.com/. Some of the stuff here is art...
I once did a railway house in Nz120 (nearly 15 years ago). It was on a mac. I've got no idea where the file went but could hav e sworn I've seen it on a piece of paper in the last couple of years. However a 2 hour search today ( Hmm, looking for an A4 sheet of paper in with a stack of other sheets of A4 paper; theres a good plan) didn't turn anything up.
I have seen some 1/64 scale NZR buildings that were produced years ago that were quite effective. Some modellers have used Google Sketchup - a handy prog for producing card buildings.
i have a range off card buildings that Rod done as review in the journal for.
