DB Says: Now that the chassis is together we’re pretty much done. As I was about to add some couplers, I stumbled upon a few old Z scale ones. These are compatible with the N ones but are a heck of a lot less visually intrusive.
Because the Z faces are 'shorter' in the vertical dimension, if your track has nasty ups and downs, keeping two Z couplers together could be a problem. Not so much if you have one N and one Z and this is why I’ve only used them on the front of locos, as it’s less common for two locos to be coupled nose to nose.
Numberboards were made up in Excel (white text on black cell backrounds), printed on a laser printer and PVA'd on. Side ladder rungs on the port side (above) came out really nicely using N scale rungs from BLMA . These have the correct ‘drop’ shape and are super-fine which makes me think again about the rest of the clunky handrails…

Oooo....thats a 3 from the Bulgarian Judge.....
Doesnt it just look the part...although I hate to say that the BLMA handrails do look nice...I was wondering if it was possible to use one of their fan kits on something?
