But still hard at work.

'When engineers get to use their own crayons'

I did take a trip to the railway station to do some on site examinations. Found 2 of the EE red sets, one still with the original lights. What they were thinking with the yellow ends is beyond me.
also got some shots of the bogie brake gear.





its also interesting to note how little of the bogies is actually visible under normal lighting conditions.

I think the yellow ends are enforced by either LTNZ or ONTRACK, the only reason the other two units got away with it (Cyclops and Pheonix) is their historical value...and the fact that Pheonix belongs to Ferrymead, and they want it back in original condition! Even the Eo's got the yellow ends....
