Somethings missing

Its been a week since the Journals were posted out, and I still have yet to see one in the mailbox.
I've got a sneaking suspicion that I'm no longer a member......

Your "coconut" is in the mail for that correct guess.

Perhaps a tad perversely for some, the Guild annual memberships follow the Crown "financial year", with each princely stipend covering the twelve month period July 1 201x to June 30 201x + 1 - during that period, as a financial member, you are entitled to receive four plain brown envelopes, containing respectively the September, December, March & June issues of that period.

Your June Journal each year contains a helpful little reminder slip, encouraging you to part with some more cash for four more Journals of the next financial year.

As from now, by virtue of our super new Guild website, you should be able to do all this electronically, thus saving the planet's trees.

To join for FY2010/11 you will now need to part with NZ$46 - or you can look to pay $12.30 per issue and contribute a sizable margin to your bookshop instead of the Guild.

Does it come suspended between 2 swallows?

its interesting to note that the 2mm association is a bit more flexible in its dates for new members. I joined at about the same time, but have been 'given' an extra issue, which is a nice touch.
I will be renwing my subscription fro the next year I think. Not quite so sure about the guild as the only thing i have really gotten out of it was teh oportunity to see 'myself' in print.

Greg

Can you please direct us to the super new Guild website?
The www.railmodel.org.nz site does not appear to have anything new.

Thanks

ahem - the "super new Guild website" was the subject of a full page advert in the most recent Journal #371(mailed to financial members early October).

It was advertised as www.nzmrg.co.nz - however if you visit their a message states "website coming soon" - evidently Murphy (the non-Kiwi looking one, not the purveyor of Australian pies & cars & frontman for the NZMTA) got at the software after the beta test was proven to work.

Terry has posted messages on the Yahoo 9mm & NZ Railchat sites explaining that a minor technical problem has delayed its start - expected to be fixed shortly.

It will contain state of the art online programmimg which will enable one to part with their zlotis, roubles, dinar etc most incredibly rapidly - both members and non.

as that cheese TV advert says " good .....
