Just while we are on the locomotive topic, Kato USA have finally started selling spare parts for their GG1. This includes the complete powered bogies with the correct wheels for an Ed. This also includes the drive train which is worth its weight in extremely expensive things. Based on the current exchange rate with the south pacific peso the basic bits for 2 Ed;s will set me back $100 (sans motor). Just as well I don't have to buy stuff from the British.
