I was looking through one of my books and in more than one photo taken in the fifties and sixties Ka 945 definitely has 12 spokes and it's paired with 948 which has 14.
All I can presume is that 945 was the first to be built and continued with the K's 12 spokes...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3308436923321175757.post-37648594674338369582010-04-14T21:54:12.632+12:002010-04-14T21:54:12.632+12:00Hmm, had everything in the last sentence after ...Hmm, had everything in the last sentence after 'as well as'.
I don't tend to measure stuff too much after being laughed at (by a finescaler of all people ) measuring up Dc and Df cabs at a Hutt open day many years ago.Motorised Dandruffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415901398887030249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3308436923321175757.post-58915266205129801942010-04-14T19:31:17.282+12:002010-04-14T19:31:17.282+12:00Always an interesting playground. The Ab's had completely different balance weights. and it definately wasn't a 3'9" driver.Motorised Dandruffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18415901398887030249noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3308436923321175757.post-53328868271964032382010-04-14T13:53:10.953+12:002010-04-14T13:53:10.953+12:00Reasonably useless info: Those driving wheels are ...Reasonably useless info: Those driving wheels are more likely for a K, having 12 spokes, although the balance weight looks a bit light, more like an Ab's. Ka's have 14 spokes and J/Ja 15 spokes iirc :D (Unless they are not even 4'6" diameter.... they do have a Wf floating around in stripped-down condition, might be the 3'9"-12 spoke wheels for that?)woodsworksnoreply@blogger.com
